I need much more information. When do you get this error? What does the details sections say?
Answer:
Right after I enter the password. It says Failed opening remote file

Unlike many clients, Swish requires you to enter the starting path when you create a connection and this path must exist. Did you enter this path correctly?
Answer

Hmmm, one of Swish's less informative error messages. I though I'd gotten rid of useless messages like this but apparently not.
Note to self: investigate why an SSH error is being reported for a LIBSSH2_ERROR_SFTP_PROTOCOL error ( http://trac.libssh2.org/browser/libssh2/src/sftp.c?rev=d4a768af4ed3180f9596b32c4b162a3db9d4366e#L935).

So just to be extra clear, are you ever able to connect to another computer using Swish?
If so, is there anything different about the times that you can't connect?
